There are several "surface" wells, upon it all showing oil and three or four rock wells, tho none of much depth. It has been mismanaged by being leased to irresponsible persons, who have not been able to prosecute the work of developing its resources. The leases are cancelled & the title to the property is perfectly clear.- It lies within half a mile of the plank road leading to Wyoming, on the Great [Western?]
