Sherman who bought the 320 acres in Poweshiek Co @ $8. per acre all in time and who holds your "Contract" and you hold his Notes, as follows, [viz?] dated Dec 10', 1874 - payable April 1st, 1875, for $512.00 " " " " " do April 1st, 1876 for $960.00 " " " " " do April 1st, 1877 for 960.00 $2,432.00 drawing interest at 10% from date Jany 1 1875 - Our agent at Grinnell writes that Mr Sherman says "he will pay all cash now, if you will discount $50_ " we presum he means after adding the interest - which we suppose you would like to do, so, enclose warranty deed, also Quit-Claim from T. C. Durant, which please execute and return, if approved, together with the notes and duplicate "contract" and we will do the needfull - Yours truly Coffin & Henry
