Dr Sirs: answering yrs. of 1st inst. State. in. 896. U.S. Ex Rel. Durant. v Bd Sups. Pottawattamie Co Mess. Edmonds & Ransom of Iowa City attys for Relator, The action was one to enforce a judgt. agt. the County. The judgt was paid to the Attys. and the case was dismissed at Relators costs. The clerks costs have been paid and all the rest without doubt, but the record is not satisfied. - In the other case Mess. Withrow & Wright of this place was atty for compt. it was dismissed at compts costs. for want of prosecution the action was one to wind up affairs of the deft. A receiver was apptd.
