Boston, Octo 12th 1875 H.C. Crane, Esq. 20 Nassau St. New York Dear Sir, Yours of 11th inst recd. I am unfortunately interested in 1800 acres in Douglas Co, Wisconsin, and recently bought County Warrants, which can be used in paying taxes, in part, for 50 [cents] on a dollar - and that may account for your being able to pay $165 29/100, with $85 - cash - I have reliable correspondents, (land agent, &c) at Superior City, Peter E Bradshaw & Co, and will attend to any business, or you can correspond direct with them, whom I know personally, and they have my confidence - Geo.
