Boston, May 10 1877 H C Crane, Esq. Dear Sir Yours 9th inst recd. I consider James Bardon, of Superior, Wis. a reliable man to pay taxes in Douglas and Bayfield Counties - and vicinity = Mr James O Sargent, and I have (and do still) pay through him, and dont know of any better person to attend to the business - That big engine at Davenport appears likely to remain there - Mr Henry has tried hard to sell it, without success - Yours truly Jn L.
