Atty Dear Sir, We have written you several times relative to a small balance in our hands, as to applying it in part for redemption of Mrs. Durant's Marengo Lots, from Tax sales, but hearing nothing from you, or the Doctor, in reply to our letters, + the time for redemption having expired, and we now enclose our account and the writer's check to your order for $38 98/100 in settlement.
