For a Sore Leg - if it is a hot rheum - house leek and Brock lime bruised together afterwards a little hot water put to it, and the Leg wash'd with the Liquor when it is just Milk warm - after the Leg has been wash'd with the House Leek (which is only to be used in case of a violent inflamation-) and is a little cooler get some Turneps boiled perfectly soft so that they will make a poultice - first wash the Leg with the Tarnep Water - and then spread the Tarneps on a then Cloth, and lay it on the Leg warm. - When the Leg begins to heal put a little cerate Salve upon a bit of Lint & lay it on the [wound?] and lay another Tarnep poultice on that - the person shoud drink the following mixture at the same time, a quarter of a pound Sulpher and a quarter of a pound of Cream of Tartar put to three quarts of boiling water - to drink about a small tea cup full as often as they find it necessary.
