To make Rhubarb Pills to cure a relaxed state of the Bowels
Dr. Kitchener
Turkey Rhubarb finely pulverised   2 Drams
Syrup by weight       1 Dram
Oil of Carraway    2 Drops at least
made into 40 Pills each of which will contain 3 Grains of Rhubarb

To make Ginger Beer   /Miss Stables of Notting Hill
Cream of Tartar    1 ounce
Jamaica Ginger bruised   1 ounce
lump sugar    1 pound
boil a gallon of water with the bruised Ginger therein for a quarter of an hour. Then pour this liquor upon the Sugar & Cream of Tartar add to which a Lemon sliced peel & all, let it stand till cold and [illegible] into it a Tablespoonful of fresh yeast strain it thru a flannel Bag and bottle it off. it will be fit to drink in twenty four hours afterwards
