C U+0292 ij M et distrebue in pulv xxxvj sumat j resperi p r 12 [left margin] M Neville surgeon of [illegible] for Emily Durrell to make CuraU+00E7ua the Rind of 18 Seville Oranges pared as thin as possible - three pounds of refined Sugar four bottles of good Brandy put together in a stone jar covered. Stir this Composition three times a Day for a for't'night, then strain and bottle it off for use - NB marmalade may be made of the Oranges - [left margin] gave Mrs. Regg Wilkis a Copy of this 24 april 1848 Mrs. Benn of Farringdon Hants - To make Black Currant Vinegar one Quart of black Currants picked from the stalks, put on them one pint of best Vinegar let it stand eight or nine Days squeeze then and to every pint of juice add one pound of loaf Sugar - boil twenty minutes and when cool bottle it - very pleasant in Summer as a cooling drink with cold Water or a very good thing for a Cold or Cough or hoarseness if [mixd?] with warm Water [left margin] from Mrs. Benn 3 April [1846?]
