51 To cure the "Husks." 2 pennyworth of syrup of Buckthorn. Do. do. Garlick Do. Castor oil Do. Syrup of Squills mix together Dose one teaspoonful once a day Thursday Inst. Claret Cup To each bottle of ordinary Claret add a bottle of Soda Water, a glass of Sherry or Curacoa, the peel of a lemon cut very thin. powdered sugar according to taste. a few slices of Cucumber or some sprigs of Borage. or four leaves of black Currant steeped in the sherry for two hours. Let the whole remain an hour or two before serving, and then add some lumps of clear ice -
