D. Durell Esqr. 3 Sloane Street 22 March 1841 My dear Sir, On the first Inst I forward you the Receipt for Blacking as you (illegible) me when I had last the pleasure of seeing you. I only received it last week- I very sincerely hope my Aunt is better: I oft times see Mrs. Shortland, and from her, I last had the good news that my Aunt was improving; the amendment I trust will gain strength, and as the summer comes on, prove permanent. I have been very glad to hear of John's being so comfortably birthed at Alton and hope the more he knows of it the more he may like it. With kind love to my Aunt and to my amiable Cousins [illegible], my dear sir, Your's very sincerely, Henry Percy Hames
