19 Sarsdale Terrace, Kensingtion 25th: August 1829 Dear Sir/ I make no doubt , you think it strange not hearing from me sooner, but I was under the necessity of leaving Town for a few days, in applying for a situation & unfortunately did not succeed, (owing to and former Services, being Employed by Govern= a circumstance, I am too fearful , will be the means of not procuring support for my family.-- Mrs. Arnold, kind Sir, will trouble you with a Letter tomorrow or next day, and should you think it will do, so that you may show it, and use your Interest, with the Surv. General/ Coll. Stephenson/ I shall ever feel bound in gratitude to you.-- I sincerely hope your poor Lady and yourself are both well, and have sent you Annexed, the following- list of Houses, now unoccupied, and which I should wish you to see; at the Rates of 100 pounds to 120 pounds Mr. Anneson.-- I remain Dear Sir, Yours ever Sincerely To/ Durell Stables Esqr: Will: Alex: Arnold
