Tuesday January 25th 1881 I was busy about the house-work all the forenoon and worked most of the afternoon facing my sacque and fixing the button holes. I knit in the evening over to Wins. Wednesday January 26th 1881 It was rather a cold day but Hatt went over to Wins to spend the day and Mother went to town to Mrs Lathrops I helped Ella with the work and did some odd jobs of sewing for myself. We nearly all went to the concert tonight which was a pleasant affair. A letter from Esther and Dool Sherwood. Thursday January 27th 1881 It was very cold this morning but we had a large washing done by noon and a nice dinner ready. Mr Hubbard from Wilton took dinner here. I went to town with Rob in the afternoon and got some new globes for the parlor lamps. I engaged a new girl as Ella will not stay. I worked all the evening baking cake.
