Thursday April 7th 1881. Mary did not come this morning and I went to town in the afternoon and down to learn how to iron shirts at Mrs Mahins. I attended to some errands in town and got home about four oclock tired enough. Friday April 8th 1881 Mary came this morning and we worked at the dress making all day. We were so tired we did not sew in the evening. Friday {Saturday} April 9th 1881 Mary came this morning and we began work at once. We got a good start on the work. We girls did not sew any in the evening. Uncle Jacob was here for dinner. Orrie went home today. Saturday April 9th 1881 We sewed all day and till late in the eve. Winnie was over to help us all day. Rob started to Burlington in the afternoon. Uncle Jacob was here again today. May is six years old today.
