the afternoon. I helped get the supper and then dressed to go to the ball I went up town before night met Rob at Wins and went down to the Opera house to the Alumni exercises, from there we went to the ball where we had a delightful time. The law boys all spoke well this morning and Otto never done better, and such a delightfully cool day as it has been for all the exercises. Wednesday June 22nd 1881. We went to the Collegiate Commencement this morning. Mr & Mrs Day, Mary Hattie and I went in our tickets and had very good places. The exercises were good. Mr Day spoke very well. It lasted till two oclock when there was a collation in the old chapel where the most of our folks went. Mr & Mrs Jackson, Miss Patton and John and Hatt were over here for dinner. After dinner we went back to the chapel to hear the speeches. When we came back at five oclock found
