Sunday July 10th 1881. There was a hard rain storm this forenoon. I helped do up the work and wrote some before dinner. It was clear in the afternoon and terribly warm. I took a sleep. In the evening I wrote a letter to Lizzie Lindley and there was another bad storm. John and Hatt did not go home tonight. Monday July 11th 1881 Soon as I ate my breakfast came over town to get stuff for Hatt a couple of waists. We made them and got some things gathered up we wanted to bring with us and came over to Hatts at five oclock in the hack. We got the supper over and went to bed early. Tuesday July 12th 1881. I was busy all day and evening. When not at the house-work I had some knitting and other work to do. I recieved a very kind letter from Cousin Jennie
