Monday September 19th 1881 We did an immense days work. The washing and ironing and Mother went over and got fifty lbs of grapes for Hatt and we put them up for her. I was very tired at night and went to bed early. Tuesday September 20th 1881 Mary Donovan came this morning to finish my dresses and was here till nearly noon. Mrs Middleton her daughter and a cousin were here spending the day. I was busy about the work the greater part of the day but had time in the afternoon to hem the strip of carpet for the parlor. Wednesday September 21st 1881 I gave the house a thorough cleaning this forenoon and at noon Birdie Harris came. We spent the afternoon and took supper at Wins. I did some trading for myself. We got home at eight oclock
