Monday December 12th 1881. We got the washing done very early and I began work on the lamberquin for the parlor windows. Went over town before night and Orrie and I stayed to Hatts till after supper and went to the Opera house to hear Miss Congdons music scholars perform, dident like it, so very well. A rainy evening Mr Jackson was here for dinner Tuesday December 13th 1881. I was home at work all day, got a tidy from Clara Shurts and a letter from Laura Short in Delavan. I dont get along very fast with my lamberquin. Wednesday December 14th 1881 Mother went over town this morning to meet her Aunt. The train did not come in at all today. I helped with the work considerable but worked every moment I had to spare on what I have laid out for my weeks work. Rob went to Burlington tonight
