For a cough or hoarseness Rub two drachms of [spermaceti?] with the yolk of an egg; add half an ounce of Syrup of orange peel, two ounces of cinnamon water and as much spring water. A table spoonful to be taken as often as required. Miss Pryce of Gunley an excellent powder for [illegible] 1/2 oz of Quicksilver - 1/2 oz Black Tea - melt them together. Then add immediately - 8 oz of prepared harts horn - 8 do prepared chalk - 2 do putty Powder - all well powdered together. Hope For the Rheumatis one teaspoonful of flour of Brimstone - do of very coarse brown Sugar. mixed together taken fasting every day for thee days - then stop three - & at it again - [illegible]
