I had an opportunity of putting the recipe again into practice; Dr Bullman of Lincoln College had an acrid tumor breaking out all over her arms, somewhat like a leprosy; as I was acquainted with him, I told him of the case above mentioned; he said Mercurials & Othrop's mineral had never reached his complaint, & he resolved from what I had said to try the Clivers. Accordingly he applied the ointment & drank the juice and was perfectly cured in a quarter of a year. He told me he had improved on my prescription for besides taking the juice he had constantly eaten the clivers as a Salad with oil. These two cases I know myself & pray God they may heap service to the person you mention. Spoon man had a Cancer in his face which had eaten so much of it away, that he was a subject too bad to appear about the house: he likewise took the juice and used the Ointment in the manner above mentioned & is now perfectly well: I will now only add the recipe for making the ointment.
