Iced Cake Two pounds of flour 1/2 a pound of sugar two spoonfuls of caraways seeds two of new yeast a [? ?] the yolkes of 6 eggs whites of three to beat up with the yeast some warm milk. ___ Sauce for a Scragg of Mutton Two spoonfuls of [strikethrough] liquor it was boiled in two of vinegar three shallots cut very fine a little salt & a piece of butter roll'd in flour, stir it together and give it a boil, it is the best tha tcan be made.. Currant Shrub Strip the Currants and to two pots of juice put a pound and half of the best loaf sugar Mix them well together and strain it then add a gallon of [?] milk punch 10 qrts of [?] soak the peel of 12 oranges 24 hours then add the juice and juice of 12 lemons with 18 qts of water boiled 7 pounds of Lump Sugar when cold
