Friday May 7th 1880 I ironed this forenoon. Mrs Sue Smith spent the day here. We worked at the rags again in the afternoon and evening. Weather as unpleasant as yesterday. Saturday May 8th 1880 I cleaned up the front part of the house first thing after breakfast. Hatt went over to Wins about ten oclock to be gone all day. I did some baking for the company tonight. Grand-ma and Anna were here part of the day. The company were all here when John brought Hatt home tonight and she was very much surprised. The boys got her a large album for a present. The party passed of pleasantly and all appeared to enjoy it. We were all surprised by Miriam Pomery coming tonight just before our company did. Sunday May 9th 1880 I went to church this morning and the young folks went to the valley. I read a little in the afternoon and was over to Folsoms
