Saturday August 28th 1880 I did quite a washing and we finished the carpet before noon I ironed in the afternoon and practiced two hours and a half today We had a long letter from the boys tonight They had got to Glenwood but had gone through with some bad experiences It rained more today. I cut some carpet rags in the evening to clean up the scrap in the sewing room. Sunday August 29th 1880 It rained today and I staid at home and rested wrote a long letter to Will Reed and Anna Offet and cards to Rob, Charlie Russell and Mr Pentzer Went to bed early Monday August 30th 1880 I did some odd jobs of sewing today and we did some little cleaning of stairs Weather still rainy and bad.
