Monday September 27th 1880 It was so pleasant this morning I thought I would do the washing myself and it was immense. I got it all done by three oclock and helped with all the other work, and I ironed from three till five. I practiced an hour in the evening. A letter from Hatt. Tuesday September 28th 1880 I did the morning work practiced an hour and finished the ironing. Rob and Mother went to town right away after dinner I was busy about the work nearly all the afternoon, practiced an hour in the eve. Wednesday September 29th 1880 We got the work done quite early and Mother went to town I practiced while she was gone. After the dinner work was done her and Otto went down to Uncle Jims for apples. I did some mending and got the supper alone. Wrote to Hatt in the evening. Weather rather cool. I had a letter from Carney.
