Take up the 5 new stitches made for the thumb on a pin and divide the hand stitches more equally to continue knitting round - Put single worsted on a pin & knit it double from the beginning of the new stitches for about 6 stitches to secure the Lambswool it must be a turned round as the hand was left off with a plain round, continue alternately turned & plain for 23 or 24 rounds leaving off with a plain - 9 rows ribbed a plain row & knit off - If fine Lambswool & pins - Set up 84 stitches - 13 rows ribbed 18 rounds before beginning thumb - 35 stitches for width of thumb, 18 rounds after Thumb is joined & 13 ribbed - To complete hand 34 rounds and then 13 ribbed
