Lambswood Shoe in two colours Cast on 62 stitches in dark wool, then knit 2 rows plain & next row turned, The 5th row to be light wool - every knitted stitch to be turned - take off 2 stitches without knitting but as if you were going to turn them The 5th row to be knit in the following manner then 2 with a dash over them marking the stitches to be taken off thus leaving them in dark wool to form a kind of net work - 5th row 1 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 6 2 4 2 6 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 1 [all 2s have line over them] 6th row the light stitches plain, then dark taken off as before 7th row like the 5th 8th like the 6th 9th with dark wool knit every stitch turned 10th Also a turned row to keep the pearl outside 11th A plain row in which 4 stitches are to be added on each side the 2 center stitches 12th Light wool as follows 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 [all 2s have line over them] 13th a plain row 14th a turned one 15th a plain 16th Take the dark wool where left and knit every stitch plain and increase 4 stitches each side of the 2 center stitches 17th Also a plain row 18th A turned row 19th Light wool as follows 1 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 2 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 2 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 1 [every other 2 has a line over it] 78 stitches 20th plain 21st turned 22 plain 23 dark and turned row 24 Also turned 25th plain, increase 2 stitches each side of centre 26th Light wool a turned row 4 & 2 [2 has line over it] alternately 82 stitches now continue your pattern regularly till you have 13 sets of light wool
