Monday March 24th 1890 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. I wrote a letter to May. I went to town soon after dinner. I did some errands for Mother and met Gradnma in at Himmons and talked with her awhile. I went to Hatts and found she was out to Fannys. I went on our there. Will was at Hatties when I got back so I rode home. I cut out some sheets in the evening and read some. Father's birthday. Tuesday March 25th 1890 It was horrilbly windy day. I sewed on the sheets what time I could spare from helping with the work. We washed in the afternoon and put the clothes up in the garret. Will took a load to the farm for the building. Wednesday March 26th 1890 It was a fine day. Mother went down to Holsons for the day. I ironed some and worked on the sheets all the time I could get. Mr Brown, Myers and George Stevens went home today. Will went to the farm again. The men are out there at work on full force today. Dr Moore is dead. [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] Lee went to Chicago. Thursday March 27th 1890 It began to rain about six oclock this morning. There was a slight clearing about ten oclock and Mother got over town. Will went out to the farm about noon and found the men were not there. Before night it was snowing terribly. I got the supper over and sewed in the evening. Stiles spent the evening talking with us. Pierce went home today. Friday March 28th 1890 weather a little better. I finished my twelve sheets today by four oclock and when Winnie came from her church we put them out on the snow to bleach before time for supper. I worked all the evening heating up water for the incubator and then found it leaked. Will was in town in the evening. I was very tired and we went to bed early. Saturday March 29th 1890 It was snowing again this morning. I was busy all forenoon with my baking and sweeping. Will took the tank out of the incubator against. He was in town all the
