Tuesday May 13th 1890 Mother and I went over town this morning and I came on home to get the dinner while she went down to Minnie Shoners of an errand. I ironed in the afternoon and Fanny and a friend of hers was here for a call. The incubator is hatching very well again. Wednesday May 14th 1890 Mother took an early start to the valley with Fanny I worked the whole day with my chickens only what time I was getting meals. Will helped me make some new coops. I was very tired tonight. I set the incubator again. Thursday May 15th 1890 I went to town early this morning to look around for some extra furniture for my room. I was into the office to talk with Ott a little while. I helped get the dinner after I came home. Charlie was up today and ate dinner here. In the afternoon Mother put out her plants. I put down the matting Mother got me for my room and there was not quite enough. She went over to get some more and did not come back till after supper. I was busy late in the afternoon with my chickens. Friday May 16th 1890 We washed this forenoon and I finished putting down the matting before noon. Will helped move things about and put castors on the furniture. We got the ironing done in the afternoon too. There was a heavy frost this morning. Will got the Anthonys spring opened for the cattle. Saturday May 17th 1890 I put in all the forenoon sweeping the house and Mother done a nice lot of baking. We went to town soon after dinner. Mother got her a new cloak and I a new set of china for my room. We went down to Hatts and found her all tired out with house cleaning. Mother stayed to get supper for them they were so tired. Fanny brought me home and I sent them over some bread and cake. I worked about till nearly bed time with my chickens and to get things ready to get the breakfast. Will was to town
