Sunday December 7th 1890 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. Anna went to church. Ott & Fanny came over about eleven oclock Mother came when dinner was nearly ready. We had a pleasant afternoons visit altogether. I went down across the bridge with Mother when she went back. I wrote in this book and played on the piano after supper. Monday Decmber 8th 1890 I was busy with the work the greater part of the forenoon. Soon after dinner Will and I went to town and then out to Marys for a pattern. I sewed all the rest of the afternoon and evening. Will was busy fixing things for the hogs that are sick. There was a chilly wind today. Tuesday December 9th 1890 I was sewing some today and baked bread. Will was hauling hay to fill the barn he started the work very well. I walked over town in the afternoon was only gone about an hour. I finished my night gowns tonight. Wednesday December 10th 1890 It was a fine day. We got the washing done and the plants taken out before noon. The boys went to the farm for loads and were late to their dinners. Anna went to town for me late in the afternoon. I worked on stand cover in the evening. Thursday December 11th 1890 It was a very windy mean day. The boys went to the farm again. I ironed in the morning while Anna took things out of the panty and cleaned it. She went to town in the afternoon. I did a lot of mending and worked at my stand cover in the evening. Friday December 12th 1890 I was busy about the house this forenoon while Anna washed wood-work in kitchen. Mother came over just before dinner was ready. I went back with her early in the afternoon and had a tooth filled. Will come after me in the buggy. I helped get the supper over and read most of the evening. The boys were to the farm again.
