Friday January 16th 1891 Mother was very sick last night but was able to be up today. Hattie came over to spend the day. Will went up in the country to a sale and did not get home till eight. I worked on my lace. I got in one horse practice. Saturday January 17th 1891 I helped some with the housework in the forenoon. Mary Woolf and Hattie were over in the afternoon. Mother rested better last night but Will was very sick all night and when he was in town after dinner he found the two men who went with him were sick too. Anna went home for good today. I worked on my lace what time I had. Weather has turned very nice again after one cloudy day. Sunday January 18th 1891 I was busy about the work all forenoon and read some in the afternoon. The Whelstones were over for a call and Ott was here a little while. I wrote some in the evening. Another pleasant day. Monday January 19th 1891 It was a splendid day.
