Wednesday July 6th 1892 We took up the carpet in both the northeast and Leonards room and put them down again. While I was putting them down Sadie took up the carpet in the southeast room and washed it. Mother and I walked over to Collins after supper to see about weaving carpet. Thursday July 7th 1892 We cleaned both halls and the lower stairs today besides cutting up some old carpet. Sadie was suffering with tooth ache and went over in the afternoon to have it pulled. Friday July 8th 1892 We took up the dining room carpet in the forenoon and worked the rest of the day cutting up old carpet. Saturday July 9th 1892 The girls were over in the forenoon and we all worked all spare time at cutting carpet. I was over town just a little time early in the morning. Sunday July 10th 1892 I went with Will to see how the fields looked in the forenoon and I read and wrote in the afternoon. The folks were over awhile and Ott & Fanny stayed till after supper and Will took us to ride in the surry. Monday July 11th 1892 Will hitched up for me this morning and I took the carpet over to Collins and was up town to do some other errands. I brought Rob home with me and the girls were over in the afternoon. We finished cutting the carpet and sewed the new carpet I got for the south east room up stairs. Tuesday July 12th 1892 I put done the new carpet and Mother and I changed things about in the northwest room which she is to have for hers. I put in all the rest of the day varnishing furniture and pictures and putting them in place, There was a hard rain storm tonight. The men are working at the hay
