Saturday October 15th 1892 I helped a little with the quilt in the forenoon and Mother finished it by noon. Mr Haddock and Thompson went to town to board this afternoon. I rode over with Will and did some errands about town. made a visit up in Murphys office. I found Hatt had gone over home and I made some measurements of her rooms while there was no one at the house. I finished the quilt in the evening. weather very warm. Sunday October 16th 1892 I helped with the work this morning and Will and I went to church. Just as we had dinner ready Emma Weldie and sister in law came. they stayed most of the afternoon. I read and wrote some after they were gone. Monday October 17th 1892 We did a large washing this morning and straightened the fruit in the cellar. After dinner fixed the soap ironed some and put in a comfort to quilt. worked at that some after supper. weather fine. Tuesday October 18th 1892 Mother went over to Hatties this morning. I did the work and some quilting. About four oclock Will and I dressed to go to Dentons to supper. we had a pleasant visit. Father & Mother stayed in town all night. Wednesday October 19th 1892 I got the work done to quilt some in the morning. Mother came just before noon. We finished that comfort and put in another that we got half done. I went to town alone in the buggy about an hour just before supper. Thursday October 20th 1892 Mother and I worked all we could at the quilt in the forenoon and finished it by noon. I put in another soon after dinner and we got that nearly done by bed time. The men went to the timber for wood. Friday October 21st 1892 This is "Columbian Day." I was busy with sweeping and working around the house most of the day. After
