Mother and I finished the quilt in the morning She went to town. I rode over late in the day for some things. Hattie brought her home. The men hauled more wood today. Saturday October 22nd 1892 We cleaned the garret this morning and worked all day about the place. Mollie & Lib Stevens came about four oclock to stay all night. The girls were over from town a few moments. Fanny got home from Des Moines last night. Sunday October 23rd 1892 I was busy with the work all forenoon. I got up a very nice dinner. Will took Mother and the girls to church. After dinner Will took the girls and I to Paul Custers funeral. Hattie came back with us and as soon as Will hitched the girls horse for them to go home We went on out to Frank Songsters funeral. We did not go to the cemetery but took Hattie home and came on home. it was nearly night when we got here. I read a little in the evening. weather cold & wintry. Monday October 24th 1892 We did a large washing this morning and got some of the things ironed after I had put in another comfort to quilt. Ott & Fanny were over a few moments just before supper to see about getting their lot ready to build on. I was busy with the work till nearly bed time as I had bread to make up. weather pleasanter. Tuesday October 25th 1892 Fanny came over early this morning and helped Mother work on my quilt. Josie and I did the work and moved the things to the south bed room to sleep there for the winter. After dinner Will hitched the team to the surry and we went down to Robinsons from there to town. called at Mrs Trowbridge for an hour. Will called for us there. I helped through with the supper and Mother and I finished the quilt. Ott was over for dinner and he and Fanny went right away after that
