January, Saturday, 4, 1862. Still cold and Dreary this morning and has the appearance, of snow and iff it dont snow I will be disappointed very much indeed Moses Wallace and Wife were at our House to day for dinner and we had a [throug?] time I was solicited to take a sleigh ride this evening but thought it best not to go I dont much like the idea of going to a Preacher no how as so I wont go Big Steve may go iff He wants to and have all the fun.
