January, MONDAY, 6, 1862. It still continues to snow we will have very nice sleighing---- Unkle Dan & myself Intend starting for Iowa County Tomorrow. I don't much like the trip but will have to go. After going out to Mr. McAvoys and halling in an old sleigh and making various other Preparations we think we are about ready to start and I presume we will go-----
