January, TUESDAY, 7, 1862. Unkle and I started for Iowa County we started about 10 o clock and the road not being Broke we traveled hard until 1. o clock when we stoped for Dinner at Mr. Stewarts and found to our surprise that we had gone some 10 or 11 miles After eating our Dinner we started again and traveled some 13 miles when we came to the Bold city of South English After stopping a few moments we proceeded on our way some 2 1/2 miles where we put up at Mr [Greenlees?] a very comfortable place by the way and now I dont care how soon I go to bed
