January, WEDNESDAY, 15 1862. The wether is calm this morning and considerable warmer than it has been for several days past thoug it has the appearence of more snow. as I did not go a Calling Last night I think I will try it to night no Preventing Providence I have caught a fresh cold by some means and I feel very bad therefore I don't think I can make those Calls this evening. I will go home and get a good nights rest iff Possible and be ready for the very embarresing duty that will be Imposed on me the Ballance of this week as Unkles wedding day approches he appears to grow uneasy He puts me in mind of a Hen on a Hot Griddle
