January, FRIDAY 17, 1862. Rather Pleasent to day Unkle George has not been in the store to day I suppose he is to proud of his wife to leave her. We anticipate a big time down home to night. I feel a good deal better to day and I hope by tomorrow to be well we are pretty throug in the store to day getting in money and selling goods but now it is evening and I will go home by way of P.O. and buy a paper-- I am sitting at home reading the news and here comes the guests to our party we are going to have a good time generally an then I will go home with some of the Ducks
