January, THURSDAY, 23, 1862. This morning is somewhat Foggy and has the appearence of a thaugh Jonathan and I did go a calling last evening and was bored as usual now I for my part am begining to get tired of such calls and am going to quit I believe nothing worthy of note transpiring to day. Unkle & Mr. Cleaves are getting tired of paying a clerk and I will have to leave and hunt some other quarters I don't know where I shall go but iff nothing else offers I think I shall have to go to war, and I don't much like the Idea either. there is not much Wheat coming to market yet.
