January, SATURDAY, 25, 1862. This morning is pretty cold again and I am tired of seeing cold weather rather a dull day for Saturday There is a spiritual revival in motion at present in this Place I think I will have to attend to night and see what they have to say for themselves... from this time forth I suppose I will have to work for lower wages than usual oweing to the hard times and scarcity of money This is turning out to be a very Pleasent day and I would like to be Sleigh Riding iff I could afford it but my means will not admit of it so I must be content with my Lot I must go and get Barbered this Evening
