February, FRIDAY, 7, 1862. This is a very cold day but notwithstanding there is quite a number in town and considerable trading going on Unkle and Wife went out sleighriding to this morning and I will try it this evening iff all hands are agreed it will be a very late ride but I think I will try it. Johnathan and I started for Crawfordsville about half Past 5 oclock arrived there at 8 o clock P.M. after partaking of some refreshments we turned our party into a singing school and we made some very good music Mrs. [Minturn?] is one of the singers and there were quite a number of good singers present
