February, MONDAY, 24, 1862 This is a very pretty day it is rather cold but a very nice day for the season and trade is not very good notwithstanding the pretty weather. I get out of the notion of sleighriding but then again it is so nice that I would like to go I think I will go out and see some of the opposite sex for I get Lonesome standing in the store all day I wish the mail would come for I want to Hear the war news and I think I will get a letter from my Father I have not heard from Him for some time. There is lots of Wheat coming into this Market now it is selling from 50 to 60 ct. pr Bus.
