March, MONDAY, 24, 1862. Another very pretty day although it is very muddy still there is a great many People in Town. I dont think they are trading much money is very scarce I suppose is the reason of it, I dont feel very well to day but I think I must go out Calling to night Iff I can make it suit. The mail came in this evening and as usual there was nothing for me I am almost discouraged I believe my Friends have all forgotten me, The roads is so awful muddy or I would go out and see Iff I could shoot some Ducks or Geese tomorrow and wile away the time but I am compelled to stay in this old store all the time and see nothing.
