March, SATURDAY, 29, 1862. This is another very pleasant day and we had Preaching in the Presbyterian Church by the Rev Shearer the Foundation of His remarks will be found in Mathew 12.24. a very good discourse we also had a Teachers examination whitch I attended there was some seventy applications I think some of them will come far short of getting a certificate there were a great many People in Town to day but they did not buy much, the mail brought us no Important war news to day I think our army is checked in its Progress, some
