April, MONDAY, 14, 1862. This morning the sun shone out clear and some of the People said we were going to have good weather but I told them I thought It would rain before night and now It is raining hard I think it will clear out and be good weather in about a week, the mail came in and Brought no aditional new Except a Telegram from James Dawson to the effect that Lieut Dawson and Plumb were safe and that [S?].I. Barns was killed N.N. Riley and several others also Liutenant Miles was mortally wounded Liuet Scofield slightly and now I must go to the store.
