April, SATURDAY, 26, 1862. This is one of the prettiest mornings in april every thing is quiet and beautiful Mother was out in the Country Last night visiting everything looks lonesome at home without Her we will feel Lost when she goes home I dread the departure, the mail Just arrived it brought me a letter from Home from Tom Welsh the friends are all well at the present. Mr Armstrong got Home to day with 15 or 20 wounded soldiers I glad He has returned for He is our Chorist in the Church but we do not like to see so many wounded soldiers coming back now for supper.
