April, SUNDAY, 27, 1862. It not quite as pleasent as usual to day but it is getting warmer now then it was this morning. I was up to the O.P. Church and heard the Rev Shearer Preach His Text will be found in Deuteronomy [33?] and 25th no more Preaching at that church to day I think I will have to loaf someplace up in Town for I cannot stay about the House all day Dan went to the Congregational Church to hear Mr [Gatises?] Last sermon in this place. in the evening I went to the M.E. Church and heard the Editor of the Muscatine Journal try to Preach but He failed I Came home then and went to bed and had one of the best nights rest I have had for some time.
