May, SUNDAY, 4, 1862. This is the prettiest Sabeth we have had for a long time I went to the First U.P. Church to day and heard the Rev Hammond Preach His text will be found in the Phillipians 2nd and 9th vr. I got so sleepy that I though I would not go back this evening, Johnathan and I went over and called on a couple of young Ladies and escorted them to the O.P. Church to hear Mr Shearer Preach His subject was the pouring out of the 2.3.4. vials or 3 of the 7 last plagues He intends to continue his lectures until He goes through with the seven The last 1 will be applyed to our present troubles
