May, MONDAY, 5, 1862. This is a very nice day we had some more goods to arrive to day and I am very tired working with them so I dont care whether any more comes or not we are selling a good many for cash. it will take me some time to fix up at this rate. the mail just arrived it brings the rumor of the evacuation of Corinth and York Town both which I think is very good news I received a letter also from my Father stating that my sister had been lying very sick for a long time but is now some better, I was so sorry to hear of Her sickness for she is one of the best women that lives
