May, Saturday, 10, 1862. A very fine morning. We look for a large trade to day and I shall not feel very well to day for Jonathan and I were out last night pretty late. I am going to quit this running about nights. It wont pay. Our trade was pretty good this morning but after that we did not sell mutch. the mail came in to day but brought no Important news with the exceptions of a small Battle at West Point. Whitch resulted in our favor. the Rebels are bound to go up the spout soon. I wish it was night for I am getting very sleepy.
